10/07/2009: "I hate flu vaccine day"
This morning I had to get my annual flu vaccine, in nasal mist form. The shots never gave me any issues, the nasal mist knocks me on my butt. I just want to crawl under a rock for a week or so right now. Lucky this is a holiday weekend (Columbus Day) so as long as I can survive tomorrow, I should be OK. This doesn't usually last more than a day, too, so let's keep our fingers crossed. Ah, the joys of having your health dictated to you.
While we were getting our vaccines, we were informed that we would be getting H1N1 vaccine, but we have to wait at least 30 days after this vaccination. And, I'm sure, more supplies to get up here - I heard on the radio that there are about 4000 doses up here right now, which would not cover a fraction of the population on this base. So I'm not sure how our supply of vaccine affects the civilian supply.
I know there was something else... At least I think I thought I had something else... Brain's a tad fuzzy right now.
%*&(* flu vaccine.
