i hear that patti offered some tourism advice, like going to allenton's big parade and then you get to eat afterwards! soooooooo many choices, what's a girl to do? by the way, there are new rules at that fabulous garden in northern wisc. the last tour group, which consisted of that cranky old lady and two of her daughters, had to each bring clippers with them. as they toured the garden, they had to deadhead the spent flowers. as the tour group was "clipping" along, there was a loud moan heard all over northern wisc. it is still a mystery.

The domes in Milwaukee is also a pretty good place to go. It is all inside so you don't get rained on. lol

LOL!!!
I don't know Amanda, sounds like a hopping place to go see! Actually, I think that it's the garden I heard Grandma complaining about. They make tourists walk thru in the pouring rain. Maybe we should skip that one...

i hear of this garden in northern wisc. that is just fabulous! they have real live bunnies running thru and knawing on all kinds of perennials. it doesn't seem to matter what color the flowers are. it is rumored that they also have cute adorable skeeters (as some so lovingly call them) that they love to just come and sit on you just to be close. doesn't seem to matter what part of the body either. the peak season for this charming garden is june and july. by aug. the flowers are pretty naked without any leaves and flowers left from those cute little bunnies. there has only been one complaint reported from a tourist . actually an eighty some year old lady, who wanted her money back from the tour 'cause it was pouring rain all the while she was on her tour. (cranky old thing) so if you ever find yourself in northern wis., just ask around. i'm sure someone will beable to help you find this one of a kind, garden of all gardens. ( how many can there be with just stubs for flowers!)

oh yeah, well I guess we'll just have to travel with a can of insect repellent to be on the safe side. :)

Though it does seem to be in those skeeter-infested woods you we talking about. :p

I'm already covered in skeeter bites, just from PT in the mornings (apparently thats the only time cool enough for them).

Yaaaay! Can't wait to see you. All those places look pretty interesting. As long as you don't plan any big hikes thru the woods, you should be fine. The skeeters are about big as horses! and another hatching expected.
